RED SOX, BIRTHDAY and BRUNCH

This weekend was jammed packed! Friday night we headed up to the beach to visit with one of Eric's Mom's high school roommates, who was spending the night. Saturday we all went out for dinner to celebrate Uncle Andrew's birthday and watched Nascar and the Red Sox, GO SOX! Sunday a few of the girls from College came over for brunch with their kids. We had a great time, ate lots of food, fed ducks and looked at old pictures and realized how old we are getting.

Adam got his first tooth!

I was feeding Adam this morning when I felt somthing in his mouth besides the food and wouldn't you know it was a tooth starting to pop out on the bottom. He is teething up a storm and anything and everything goes in his mouth! Overall he has been great with the teething(or should I say so far, I don't want to jinx myself). Below Adam enjoying his Zweiback toast.

Where did 10 years go?

Last Sunday Beth and Becky(college friends) came for a visit with Cash and Maggie. I had to share with you a picture of then and now. It is crazy to think that 10 years ago marriage and children were not even on our mind. We were worried about "What time do you get out of work and should we hang at the house or should we head downtown?" Now it is diapers, preschool, potty training, sippy cups, etc..

Roadtrip

As many of you know Eric is a big NASCAR fan and he decided to take me to the race this weekend in Delaware while my Mom watched Ean and Adam. Sat. morning Eric and I left from my Mom's house at about 9ish and arrived in Phili at 2ish. I had never been to Phili before so Eric thought we should go and stay over night. We had a great time, did a little sightseeing, ate a great dinner at Morimoto(Iron Chef) and took a horse and buggy ride around the city. Today we woke up at 6ish and headed to Delaware for the race. NASCAR is definitely a sporting event that everyone should experience. I thought I was going to get bored, but by surprise I had a great time. It is way more exciting to watch at the track then on TV. We are now stuck in traffic in NY city on our way back to Longmeadow. I have to say being stuck in traffic with no kids is way less stressful! Until next time!

Last week

This past week was jammed packed! Ean had his first day of preschool, which he loves! He would go to school everyday if he could. He asks me every morning if he has school.

We went to Nana's house on Thur. for Rosh Hashanah to celebrate with Family. In Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means, "head of the year" or "first of the year." Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. The common greeting at this time is L'shanah tovah ("for a good year"). This is a shortening of "L'shanah tovah tikatev v'taihatem", which means "May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year." (For those of you who didn't know what Rosh Hashanah meant). Ean received his first shofar from Nana. The shofar is a ram's horn which is blown somewhat like a trumpet. One of the most important observances of this holiday is hearing the sounding of the shofar.

On Friday Ean, Nana Jeanne, cousin Nancy and I went to the big E while Adam stayed back with Nana and helped her cook. Uncle Andrew was working at the Massachusetts building and he got to break away and have lunch and go on a few rides with us. All and all we had a great weekend and I am pooped!

The first Patriots football game of the season was today, which in our house is a big deal. Yeah Patriots we kicked butt today! Thanks to Uncle Duma Ean and Adam have a brand new Mustang convertible, he'll be picking up all the chicks now!

Labor Day weekend!

It was a sad day this past Monday, the end of summer. Back to reality! This summer went by so fast, too fast! Ean starts preschool tomorrow, and Mamma started working last week time to get in Fall mode.
